SOPHOMORE SEASON (2007-08): Coming off an excellent rookie outing in which he established himself as a starter in the Irish lineup ... aggressive and powerful frontline player who gives Notre Dame a physical presence around the basket ... could emerge as one of the BIG EAST's top low post players ... adds a great deal of toughness when he is on the floor ... second-leading rebounder a year ago who is a force on both the offensive and defensive boards ... relentless underneath the basket ... has worked diligently in the weight room since the end of last season ... quicker in the post than he was a year ago ... has a good outside shot and is comfortable facing the basket ... working hard to perfect left-handed hook shot ... can also shoot the ball well from 15-18 feet away from the basket.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2006-07): Along with classmate Tory Jackson, was named to the BIG EAST All-Rookie Team ... was a three-time BIG EAST rookie-of-the-week honoree ... played in all 32 contests and earned starts in final 16 games of the season ... finished as the fourth leading scorer (11.2 ppg.) and second-leading rebounder (6.2) ... reached double figures in 22 contests, finished with seven double-doubles and led the Irish in scoring on four occasions ... topped the 20-plus point mark for the third time when he scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in BIG EAST Tournament quarterfinal win over Syracuse ... finished with 11 points in BIG EAST Tournament semifinal loss to Georgetown ... had best outing of the season against Marquette as he scored a career-high 22 points (second time with 20-plus points) and matched his personal-best with 13 rebounds ... registered fourth double-double of the season to lead the Irish in both scoring and rebounding with a then career-high 21 points (first 20-plus outing of his career) and 13 rebounds (a game-high) in win over Syracuse ... earned first career start against Seton Hall ... Rivals.com National Freshman of the Week (week of Feb. 26) following performance against the Golden Eagles ... among the top 20 freshmen in the country ranked by SI.com, considered 10th on the list ... one of five Irish starters in double figures in win over DePaul as he netted 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds ... finished with 12 points and five rebounds in first career start in win over the Pirates and had 13 points playing a career-high 28 minutes against Villanova ... played 21 minutes and netted 15 points and grabbed six rebounds in BIG EAST opener against Louisville ... had 11 points and five rebounds in win over West Virginia ... also scored 11 points in win at Cincinnati and matched career-high with four assists ... earned first BIG EAST rookie-of-the-week honor on Nov. 20 after averaging 16.3 points and 6.0 rebounds in first four games while shooting 58.1 percent from the field and 93.8 percent from the free-throw line ... registered back-to-back then career-high 18-point outings against Lafayette and The Citadel ... outscored entire Citadel team in the first half when he scored 16 first-half points (Bulldogs finished with just 12 points in first 20-minute stanza) ... first freshman since Troy Murphy in 1998-99 to score in double figures in each of his first five games ... recorded first double-double by an Irish rookie since Torin Francis in 2002 when he scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds against Butler ... posted second double-double of his career in win over Elon as he finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds in 18 minutes off the bench ... in first collegiate outing scored 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds in win over IPFW ... scored 10 points in 19 minutes off the bench against Lehigh ... just missed scoring in double figures in the sixth game of the season versus Winston-Salem St. as he finished with nine points in 18 minutes ... finished with 10 points and a career-high 12 rebounds against Army for his third double-double of the season ... followed that game up with 18 points (the third 18-point performance of his career) and 10 rebounds versus Rider as he connected on 8-12 shots from the field ... finished with 12 points and five rebounds against Stony Brook ... scored nine points and grabbed seven rebounds in 19 minutes in win over fourth-ranked Alabama scored a season-low four points against Maryland and finished with just five points and three rebounds against Georgetown ... scored a season-low one point and grabbed three rebounds in just 12 minutes against St. John's ... after starting the game, did not play in the second half ... scored four points and grabbed seven rebounds in win over Villanova ... scored 10 points and grabbed nine rebounds in loss at South Florida ... netted five points and grabbed nine rebounds versus DePaul ... in BIG EAST regular-season finale at Rutgers, finished with 10 points and seven rebounds.

Diddle Arena in Bowling Green, Ky., led Hoosier All-Stars with 16 points and 14 rebounds in 90-74 victory and then followed that performance up with 12 points and nine rebounds in 94-66 in second contest that was played at Conseco Field House.
