SOPHOMORE SEASON (2007-08): Dynamic backcourt player at both ends of the floor ... proved to be an offensive and defensive spark in his rookie season as he earned BIG EAST All-Rookie honors ... led the Irish in both assists and steals ... enjoyed outstanding rookie season after becoming the starting point guard 12 games into his first campaign ... quick point guard with exceptional speed to get up and down the floor ... his quickness and the capability he has of pushing the ball up the floor makes Notre Dame a much better team in transition ... has exceptional court awareness with good ball-handling skills ... pressures the ball extremely well ... has the ability to come up with steals and get his hands on the ball ... became a more consistent outside shooter as the season progressed, but needs to continue to work on that part of his game ... his athletic skills make him a threat to to drive to the basket ... versatile all-around game at both ends of the floor ... provides the Irish with great energy when he is in the lineup ... plays with a great deal of savvy and confidence ... extremely competitive and has a winner's mentality.
