SOPHOMORE SEASON (2007-08):
Regarded as a utility guard by Irish head coach Mike Brey because he can play either one of the guard positions on the floor ... was a backup point guard a year ago, but he also can play ... a tough defender along the perimeter ... is expected to see more playing time this season ... has a good understanding of Notre Dame's system and one of his strengths are his excellent passing abilities ... has worked to improve his overall conditioning ... plays with a great deal of confidence.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2006-07):
Played 26 games during his rookie season and saw action in all 16 BIG EAST contests ... averaged 1.8 points and 0.8 rebounds ... has logged double-digit minutes in six games ... finished with a career-high nine points and matched a season best with three assists in 19 minutes off the bench against Seton Hall ... played 14 minutes against Villanova and had three steals ... netted seven points as he finished 2-2 from the field and 2-2 from the free-throw line in seven minutes of action off the bench versus Winston-Salem St. ... played eight minutes against Army and scored three points ... scored five points against Rider ... scored a basket in season opener against IPFW for first collegiate points ... connected on 3-4 from the line against Lafayette ... played six minutes off the bench against Elon ... came off the bench and played 13 minutes against Stony Brook and finished with one rebound, one assist and one steal ... made three steals in 14 minutes off the bench against Villanova ... also had three assists in the West Virginia game and three rebounds ... grabbed a career-high five rebounds in win over South Florida ... scored five points in six minutes off the bench versus Cincinnati ... played six minutes in NCAA Tournament first round contest versus Winthrop.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Four-year letterwinner under head coach Gene Pingatore ... a three-year starter ... earned East Suburban Catholic all-conference honors as a sophomore, junior and senior and was selected conference MVP in his senior season ... named Suburban Life Player of the Year ... all-area selection by the Chicago Sun Times ... selected all-state by Chicago Sun Times and Champaign News Gazette ... first-team all-state selection by the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association ... second team Associated Press all-state honoree ... averaged 15.2 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists in his senior season after netting 15.0 points, grabbing 4.0 rebounds and dishing off 3.0 assists as a junior ... helped St. Joseph to a 28-2 record in 2005-06 as his prep team captured the East Suburban Catholic league crown for the third straight year while registering its third consecutive undefeated season ... led high school team to 99-18 record the second-most victories spanning four season ... those wins also included a 39-0 mark in conference play in final three campaigns ... led St. Joseph to sectional finals in both his junior and senior campaigns and an appearance in the Super Sectional championship in his sophomore year (2004) ... concluded his career with 1,237 points, 339 rebounds, 285 assists, 120 steals and 54 blocked shots ... owned a career shooting percentage of .510 and career three-point shooting mark of .420 ... named to all-tournament teams at St. Charles East and Proviso West ... played for the North team in North/South All-Star Game and in several other all-star games.
