Players get measured for equipment and take part in running drills.

Notre Dame held its first practice on the new turf in the Loftus Sports Complex. The turf, called Prestige turf, along with a new track that surrounds it, are the latest upgrades in the Notre Dame facilities.

The offensive linemen complete their conditioning test on the first day of practice.

Freshman tight end Greg Olsen is fitted for his shoulder pads as part of day one activities for the Notre Dame football team.

Freshman defensive back Freddie Parrish, Jr. finds these shoulder pads fit nicely as he receives his equipment.

The team gathers at midfield before the first practice of the 2003 season.
