One of the hardest-working players for the Irish...comes to play every day...a hungry player who is always looking for another goal...has improved greatly over course of his career...has great attitude that is important to the team...excellent midfield player with a great deal of playing experience...a strong play-maker with excellent all-around skills and a strong physical presence on the field...an effective and smart shooter who rarely takes a bad shot...his intense attitude will key a very experienced and strong midfield unit.

AS A JUNIOR:
Started all 14 games...had nine goals and nine assists (18 points) on the season...netted a season-high three goals in NCAA tournament quarterfinal loss to Johns Hopkins...netted Notre Dame?s first goal and final two goals of the contest... scored a goal in Notre Dame?s 15-13 win over Loyola in first round of NCAA tournament with 10:01 remaining in the third quarter off an assist from brother David...dished off two assists in the season opener against Penn State...scored first goal of the season against Pennsylvania and also dished off an assist in the contest...tallied two goals and dished off an assist in 12-8 win over Denver...had lone assist on Chris Young?s goal in loss to Loyola...provided the assist on the third of Tom Glatzel?s five goals in 13-4 win over Ohio State... assisted on Steve Bishko?s goal against Butler which put the Irish up 3-0 in the contest...scored one of Notre Dame?s four first-quarter goals against Army in the 10-5 win...one of seven goal-scorers in 17-9 victory over Villanova... dished off assists on Stedman Oakey?s and Keith Parendo?s goals in 20-12 win against Fairfield... assisted on Chris Young?s goal versus Harvard which tied the game at 4-4 with 2:35 remaining in the second quarter... collected 22 ground balls on the season.

AS A SOPHOMORE:
Made 13 starts in the 14 games he played (only start he missed was in the regular-season finale versus Harvard)...finished fourth in the scoring column in ?99 with 13 goals and 12 assists (25 points)...scored a season-high three goals in 15-7 win over Army...had two goals and three assists in 17-9 win over Denver...also dished off three assists in the season opener against Penn State...scored first and last Irish goals in 14-10 victory at Villanova...netted two goals and an assist in 10-8 win over Hobart...scored twice in 16-2 romp versus Air Force...in come-from-behind victory (9-8) against Harvard, his goal with 9:26 remaining in the contest pulled the Irish to within 8-7...also had a goal in the win over Butler...in first-round NCAA tournament loss to Georgetown, assisted on goals by Chris Dusseau, David Ulrich and Brad Owen...collected 27 ground balls.

AS A FRESHMAN:
Made three starts in the eight games in which he played...saw action in Notre Dame?s last seven games...earned first career start against Massachusetts and the final two games of the ?98 campaign against Harvard and Hofstra...netted four goals and dished off three assists...tallied the first two goals of his career against Ohio State, while also adding an assist in the contest...first score of his career came off a Stedman Oakey feed with 41 seconds left in the first quarter...recipient of an assist from twin brother Dave which led to a third-quarter score against Butler, which marked the first time the two had connected for a goal during their careers...scored his fourth goal of the season against Harvard...had the assist on the first of Chris Dusseau?s two goals against Hofstra which put the Irish up 1-0 in the contest in eventual 8-4 victory.

PREP AND PERSONAL DATA:
Along with brother Dave becomes the first twin brothers to play in the Notre Dame lacrosse program...Washington Post all-metro selection...one of four players on the Notre Dame roster who played at Boys? Latin High School...two-sport athlete earning letters in both lacrosse and soccer...led lacrosse team to 1997 state championship as Boys? Latin finished the season undefeated and was ranked first nationally...was a member of team which won two consecutive Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association conference championships...earned all-conference honors in both lacrosse and soccer...lettered in three sports ? lacrosse, wrestling and soccer...scored 57 goals and dished off 22 assists in three years as a member of varsity lacrosse team...had 10 goals and three assists in final soccer season...born Dec. 4, 1978...enrolled in the Mendoza College of Business as a marketing major.
