Attacking midfield player who keeps getting better and better each year...one of the best off-ball players for Notre Dame...cuts extremely well to the cage...has a great sense of the game...can contribute in a number of ways...is always a threat with the ball and is an outstanding defender...has elusiveness on the field...extremely aggressive and intense player who displays a great deal of confidence in games...a player who knows how to create scoring opportunities for himself as well as his teammates.
AS A JUNIOR:
Played in all 14 games and started 12 contests...scored 12 goals and dished off two assists...scored two goals in 15-11 loss to Johns Hopkins...along with Tom Glatzel, was Notre Dame?s only multiple-goal scorer in 15-13 win over Loyola in the first round of the NCAA tournament...his first score of the game was an unassisted goal in the first quarter that put the Irish up 2-1...later netted his second goal of the game off a Glatzel assist with 7:26 remaining in the contest that put the Irish up 14-9...earned first career start against Denver...had one of the best games of his career as he scored two goals against Air Force...also scored twice in 13-4 win over Ohio State...tallied Notre Dame?s first and sixth goals of the game...collected a career-high four ground balls in the game...tallied his first points of the season against Denver with a goal and an assist...put the Irish up 4-0 in the first quarter off a Tom Glatzel assist after dishing off an assist to Jon Harvey on the previous Irish score...along with teammate John Flandina, provided one of the two goals scored against Loyola...dished off assist to Todd Ulrich against Army which put the Irish up 3-1 in the contest...one of 10 goal scorers in a 20-12 win over Fairfield...his second-quarter goal off a Todd Ulrich assist against Harvard tied the game at 4-4 with 2:35 remaining in the second quarter in eventual 11-10 win...collected three ground balls against Pennsylvania, Hofstra and Fairfield...had 25 ground balls on the season.
AS A SOPHOMORE:
Played in all 14 contests in ?99...had the first points of his career during the ?99 season when he netted two goals and dished off an assist...tallied his first collegiate goal in 14-10 win at Villanova...helped Notre Dame grab a 4-0 lead with 6:34 remaining in the contest off an assist from Jon Harvey...credited with his first career assist in the Ohio State game as he assisted on one of Stedman Oakey?s three goals in the contest...scored his second goal of the season in 9-7 win at Massachusetts...collected 19 ground balls.
AS A FRESHMAN:
Played in eight games during his rookie season and collected three ground balls in ?98...saw action for the first time in his collegiate career in the season opener against Penn State.
