AS A JUNIOR
BIG EAST champion in the
800-yard freestyle relay as the Irish quartet finished
in a school-record time of 6:35.47 ... that
was the third all-conference honor of his career
... first on the team in the 50 and 100 free ... second
in the 100 fly ... clocked identical 50 free
times of 20.68 in the prelims and finals at the
BIG EAST meet to place seventh ... registered
another seventh-place showing in the 100 fly
with a season-best time of 49.35 ... finished
eighth in the 100 free at BIG EAST with a time
of 45.51 ... his preliminary time of 45.29 was a
career-best mark ... also established a careerbest
time in the 200 free (1:41.93) at the Notre
Dame Invitational ... claimed 20 relay and seven
individual victories on the season ... earned a

AS A SOPHOMORE
All-BIG EAST in the
200-yard freestyle relay and the 400-yard free
relay ... member on all three school-record
freestyle relays, which were established at the
BIG EAST Championships ... swam the team's
second fastest 50-yard (20.65) and 100-yard
(45.62) free times ... clocked Notre Dame's
third-fastest 100-yard butterfly time (49.39) ...
all of those times were BIG EAST "A" cuts ...
also swam an "A" cut in the 200 free (1:42.56) ...
posted a conference "B" cut in the 500 free
(4:47.51) ... placed sixth at the BIG EAST
Championships in the 50 free and 10th in the
100 free ... finished seventh in the 100 fly at the
conference meet ... member of 400-yard
freestyle relay that took first-place by .04 to
defeat No. 17 Pittsburgh in a meet in the Rolfs
Aquatic Center ... placed second on the team
with 371.25 total points (252.5 individual,

AS A FRESHMAN
One of Notre Dame's
top sprinters in 2003-04 ... anchored 200
freestyle relay that broke school record with
time of 1:21.30 that was good for fourth place
at the BIG EAST meet and 35th in Division I ...
ranked third on Irish in 50 free (20.91) and 100
fly (49.11) and was fifth in 100 free (46.19) ...
also swam on 200 free relay team that posted
then-second-best time in school history
(1:22.41) with first-place finish at Notre Dame
Invitational, as well as the 400 free relay that
notched the third-best mark in school history
(3:02.43) en route to a sixth-place result at the
BIG EAST Championships that clinched Notre
Dame's second-place finish in the team standings
... ranked eighth on team in points scored
with 236 ... scored 27.5 points in BIG EAST
meet ... took fifth in the 100 fly ... lost a
swimoff to finish 17th in the 50 free and was
19th in the 100 free ... posted first-place finish
in 100 free against #15 Northwestern and won
the 50 free vs. Villanova ... swam on eight
relays that registered first-place finishes in
dual meets, including the 400 free quartet that
was first against Wyoming (22nd at NCAAs) ...
swam on three meet-record relays at Dennis
Stark Relays: 200 free (1:25.55), 400 free
(3:09.34), and 400 butterfly (3:26.70).
HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL DATA
Garnered All-America honors five times in individual
events -- twice in the 50 freestyle and
butterfly and once in the 100 free -- and eight
times in relays ... set five school records at
Riley High School and earned four letters ... in
addition, established eight city marks and six
sectional records during scholastic career ...
U.S. Swimming rankings included seventh in
the 50 free, 15th in the 100 free and ninth in the
100 fly ... helped high school team to undefeated
dual-meet record in each of his last two
seasons and four Northern Indiana Conference
titles ... as a junior, was a member of 200
freestyle relay team which won state championship
... tabbed as a BIG EAST Academic All-
