PREP AND PERSONAL: Earned 11 letters in five years at St. Mary's ( two in hockey, three in swimming, two in track, two in rugby and two in basketball)…also participated in volleyball and soccer…named athlete of the year her junior and senior year …her hockey team was undefeated her junior season and her track team was undefeated her junior and senior seasons…she was provincially ranked fourth her sophomore season in the javelin…regional champion her senior season in hockey and her sophomore and junior seasons in swimming…conference champion her senior season in hockey…a member of student government as an athletic representative and an honor student…one of two children…her father lettered in both hockey and football at Notre Dame and graduated in 1971…parents are Sheila and Jim Blainey…born Jan. 12, 1983, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada…enrolled in the First Year of Studies.
