AS A FRESHMAN (2005): Was used as a front-row sub to improve Notre Dame's blocking during a single rotation at times ... was able to transition into the college game by learning from Irish All-American Lauren Brewster ... played in 52 games and 23 matches, posting seven kills on 14 attempts (.429 hitting), four digs, and 15 blocks for 14.5 points ... turned in three kills on five errorless swings against both South Florida and Georgetown ... accounted for three blocks against the Hoyas and Seton Hall ... had a kill against DePaul ... played in all five games in the BIG EAST Tournament final at #7 Louisville ... took part in a pair of blocks vs. Rice and Tennessee ... notched a block and an assist in the second round of the NCAA Tournament against Northwestern ... played the national anthem on the saxophone during the first day of the Irish Thanksgiving Invitational (Nov. 25).
PREP AND PERSONAL: Gatorade Volleyball Player of the Year for the state of North Dakota as a senior at Langdon Area HS ... North Dakota Class-B Outstanding Senior Volleyball co-Player of the Year, along with her twin sister, Briana, who now plays volleyball at Army ... the pair was known as the "Twin Towers" ... three-time all-state and all-North Dakota state tournament pick ... helped Langdon Area to an undefeated record and state title in 2003 ... was part of an 88-match winning streak ... led team to five consecutive top-seven finishes in state tournament and a 194-20 record ... did not play club volleyball until 2005 ... set Langdon Area single season records for kills (546), kill efficiency (.454), kill percentage (.558), blocks (125), and attack attempts (1,000) ... also broke school records for digs (23) and kills (19) in a two-game match and kills in a three-game match (26) ... accumulated 1,790 kills, 951 digs, 266 aces, 400 blocks in 456 career games ... three-time captain and all-conference pick ... in 2004, finished with 429 kills, 221 digs, 125 blocks, and 121 service aces ... also a three-year letter winner as a center in basketball, helping the Cardinals win the 2005 state championship while being named the tournament's MVP ... two-time all-state honoree in hoops, team's captain and MVP in 2005 ... averaged 5.6 blocked shots per game over final two seasons and averaged 14.4 points as a senior ... a five-time letter winner in track and field as a jumper and hurdler ... three-time top-eight finisher at state meet in the high jump ... won one cross-country letter ... student council president ... just the second North Dakota native to dawn an Irish volleyball jersey ...
